Opera Open 2016
The traditional OPERA OPEN festival at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv will feature some of the most distinguished soloists from the world’s leading opera and ballet theatres in June and July 2016. Spectacular performances of operas by Verdi, Puccini, Wagner, and Bizet, as well as the best of operetta, ballet classics, and film music, will delight the residents and visitors of the city of the hills. The 2016 summer program of the Plovdiv Opera will highlight the global opera talents of Bulgaria.

The Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, built in the 2nd century, has a capacity of around 2,200 seats and is an active cultural venue for concerts and theatrical events.
