CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR PROGRAM OF PLOVDIV OPERA

The artists of Opera Plovdiv return to the stage before Christmas with festive concerts and performances, driven by the need to charge the audience and themselves with harmony and bright thoughts more than ever! All events are held in strict compliance with the orders and regulations for the safety of the public and their participants.

The third concert of the series with selected works by the Viennese classics Mozart and Haydn, united by the theme "Dangerous Relationships", will be presented on December 23 at 19:00. In the program "VIENNA CLASSICS 3" the orchestra of Opera Plovdiv under the direction of maestro EMIL TABAKOV will perform Symphony № 34 and Adagio from Mozart's Clarinet and Orchestra Concerto, as well as Haydn - Symphony № 45 - "Farewell".

The days of December 27, 28, and 30 will be captivated by a fabulous Christmas magic with the classic ballet title for the whole family Tchaikovsky's HAZELNUT CRUSHER. The choreography of one of the most beautiful ballet performances is the work of Boryana Sechanova, who creates a magical extravaganza with dancing ballerinas on her thumbs.

Soloists, ballet and orchestra of Opera Plovdiv are already preparing the program of a HOLIDAY NEW YEAR'S CONCERT, which will open the New Music Year on January 2 at 6 p.m. The New Year's musical tradition of Europe will come to life in works by Johann Strauss, Franz Lehar, Imre Kalman, and others. under the baton of Konstantin Dobroykov.

The concert OPERA BOUTIQUE: THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS VIENNA, postponed in November, will take place on January 3 at 11:30. Soloists Velin Mihailov - guest, Lilia Ilieva - guest, Vera Girginova, Mariana Panova, Georgi Dinev, Evgenia Ralcheva, Gocho Prakov - clarinet will present performances from "The Bat", "Countess Maritsa", "The Queen of the Chardasha", "Gypsy Baron", "The Merry Witch", "Judith", as well as from the operas "The Wedding of Figaro", "Don Juan" and "So Do All"!

Festive concerts and performances will be played with an audience capacity of 30% (up to 150 people in the hall in a row and in place) and in full compliance with all regulations for the comfort and safety of spectators! The program of Opera Plovdiv is specially adapted to guarantees maximum health of the artists on the stage - artistic protective masks are made for all participants as part of the costumes, ensemble performances of soloists and choir are not included, in ballet performances the composition is reduced and rehearsals are held in small groups in strict compliance with all regulations and internal safety rules.
