State Opera Plovdiv announces an audition for the position of:

Orchestra Musician – Viola (Tutti, Full-Time Position)

Requirements for Applicants

• Completed higher or secondary music education.
• Experience and proficiency in ensemble performance.

The audition will be conducted via video recordings in two stages:

First Round

• Evaluation of a video recording featuring the required audition repertoire.
• The video recordings must be submitted as YouTube links—one link for the solo repertoire and one link for the orchestral excerpts—to the email address below by September 1.

Second Round

• Interview with candidates who successfully pass the first round.
• State Opera Plovdiv will notify the shortlisted candidates after the completion of the first stage of the selection process.

Solo Repertoire

1. Franz Anton Hoffmeister – Viola Concerto in D major (HN 739), or

   Carl Stamitz – Viola Concerto No. 1 in D major (HN 758):

   • First Movement (with cadenza), or
   • Second and Third Movements
2. A piece of the candidate's choice (with piano accompaniment)
