Vittoria Yeo
Soloist
Vittoria Yeo is one of the favorite singers of renowned Italian conductor Riccardo Muti. Her collaboration with the maestro began in August 2015, when she performed the role of Leonora in Verdi's Ernani at the Salzburg Festival and later at the Opera House in Geneva, under Muti's baton.
Vittoria Yeo graduated in opera singing from Seoul University and then completed her studies at the Ariogo Boito Conservatory in Parma, Italy. She further honed her skills in masterclasses with Raina Kabaivanska at the Kijana Academy in Siena, the Veki-Tonelli Music Institute in Modena, and at the New Bulgarian University. She has received scholarships from the Raina Kabaivanska Foundation and Fantastico. Vittoria has won numerous international competitions in Italy, including Magda Olivero, Pietro Mongini, and Maria Malibran.
In 2015 and 2016, she made a series of impressive debuts, including Lady Macbeth in Macbeth at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna and at the Savonlinna Festival, Jeanne d’Arc in Jeanne d’Arc at Teatro Farnese in Parma, and Odabella in Attila at Teatro La Fenice in Venice. In March 2017, she also debuted in the role of Leonora in Il Trovatore at the Rome Opera House.
