Pacho Flores

Born in San Cristóbal, Venezuela, Pacho Flores began his musical education through El Sistema and later graduated in trumpet performance from the Simón Bolívar Conservatory of Music in Caracas.

He is the winner of the Maurice André International Trumpet Competition, the Philip Jones International Competition, and the CIEM Competition in Geneva. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras across Europe, North and South America, and Asia, collaborating with conductors including Marin Alsop, Paavo Järvi, and Christian Vásquez.

Flores records exclusively for Deutsche Grammophon, where he has released the albums Cantar, Entropía, Fractales, and Estirpe. His repertoire spans music from the Baroque to the present day and includes numerous works written especially for him by composers such as Arturo Márquez, Efraín Oscher, and Christian Lindberg.
