Opera Plovdiv and the Municipality of Plovdiv invite residents and visitors of the city to a festive gala concert titled "The Opera and the City" featuring world-renowned violinist Vesko Eschkenazy. The event will take place on June 14 (Saturday) at 8:30 PM on the pedestrian overpass on Gladstone Street (Central Square).
The orchestra of Plovdiv Opera presents its Easter Concert on April 15 at 7:00 PM. The evening will feature two exceptional guest soloists – renowned violinist Lia Petrova and Simos Papanas, concertmaster and artistic director of the State Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki.
The Plovdiv Opera presents the premiere of the Broadway musical "The Producers" by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan on March 28. The comedy is an adaptation of the Oscar-winning film for Best Original Screenplay, and the Broadway production won a record 12 Tony Awards!
