"MANON LESCAUT" IN MEMORY OF KAMEN CHANEV

At this difficult time, a world artist with a big heart - JOSE CURA, expressed his support for Tanya Ivanova by accepting the invitation of Opera Plovdiv to complete the project to inspire courage and hope to all performers and fans of opera. The Argentine tenor, who began his career as a conductor, will take the baton of the concert performance of the work by Puccini on April 17 at the Plovdiv Opera. Jose Cura and Tanya Ivanova partnered in the opera "Othello" at the Ancient Theater in 2019.
The project also includes the tenor with a career at La Scala, the Covent Garden Opera, the Salzburg Festival - LEONARDO KAIMI. His name is on the billboards of opera houses in Madrid, Naples, Munich, Berlin, Buenos Aires and in the program of the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago. Years ago Leonardo Kaimi and Kamen Chanev were in the same role as De Grijo in "Manon Lescaut" at the Vienna Opera. He excitedly agreed to sing in Plovdiv in memory of his colleague and friend, despite the epidemic restrictions.
The soloists Svilen Nikolov, Alexander Nosikov, Momchil Karaivanov and others also take part in the concert performance of Manon Lesko. with the Orchestra and Choirs of the Plovdiv Opera. The conductor of the choir is Dragomir Yosifov.
Few will have the opportunity to enjoy the exciting music project created by friends for friends, due to the 30% audience capacity limit in the hall. For this reason, the two world opera artists agreed to hold the dress rehearsal on April 15 with spectators as well. Tickets for both dates - dress rehearsal with an audience on 15.04 and concert performance of "Manon Lescaut" on 17.04, are sold at the tickets office of Opera Plovdiv and online at eventim.bg
