The eighth edition of the international platform OPERA OPEN will start on June 4 with the premiere of "Carmina Burana" by Karl Orff at the top of Bunardjika Hill at 9 p.m. The wheel of fortune turns and carries artists and audiences 55 years later again on the same date and at the same place where the first open-air opera took place in Plovdiv. A large-scale stage is being built for the event, embodying the cycle in the universe, which will be attended by over 150 artists from the Plovdiv Opera. The conductor is maestro Emil Tabakov, and the choir conductor is Dragomir Yosifov. Soloists in "Carmina Burana" are Plamena Girginova, Ivo Yordanov and Alexander Baranov. The Choir, Ballet and Orchestra of the Plovdiv Opera and the Children's Choir at the Academy of Mrs Opera take part in the production.
