Dragons and elves fly to a concert in the TU
Opera Plovdiv turns a unique space in the heart of Plovdiv into a world of another dimension on June 11. The yard of the Technical University will be filled with projections of dragons and elves from the world gaming hit Divinity: Original Sin II and the expected edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 during the GAME MUSIC SYMPHONY concert. For the first time the spectators in Plovdiv will hear the music from the games performed by the Plovdiv Opera Orchestra with conductor Konstantin Dobroikov. The author is the Bulgarian Borislav Slavov, who in 2021 received a nomination for the Hollywood Music In Media Awards - an award-winning organization that honors original music in all forms of visual media, including film, television, video games, trailers, commercials, documentaries, music videos and special programs. In the fantasy soundtrack he weaves uneven rhythms from Bulgarian folklore,
which he combines in a harmonious way with the classical sound of the symphony orchestra. The Bulgarian composer, who will personally attend the concert, is the winner of many international
music video awards. He works with the famous Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer on
the music for the game Crysis 2.
To recreate the Dungeons & Dragons game universe, video artist Petko Tanchev is preparing a unique map for the restored facade in the courtyard of the Technical University at 8 Tsanko Dustabanov Street. The GAME MUSIC SYMPHONY multimedia concert is part of the Graffiti Opera Open program. Tickets are sold in the Eventim network and online at eventim.bg
