A virtuoso guitar player performs Arajuez concerto

Eric FRANCERIES will perform guitar concert "Aranjuez" with the orchestra of State opera - Plovdiv on 16 March, 7 pm . Conductor: Dian Tchobanov.

Eric FRANCERIES began his formal music education at the age of 8, attending the National Academy of LYON, where his father,Marc FRANCERIES, was an instructor.

Under his father's tutelage, he grew as a musician and in 1977 enrolled in the National Superior Music Academy of PARIS to study under Alexandre LAGOYA.

Having received first-prize awards at the academy, Eric FRANCERIES went to compete in numerous international competitions including CARPENTRAS-1980, SASSARI-1982, and RADIO-FRANCE-1983.

He became regarded as a possessor of a skilful technique and extraordinary musical quality rarely seen in musicians so young.

His career has since grown to encompass a yearly schedule of appearances throughout the international concert circuit.

In 1980, Eric FRANCERIES became a music instructor at the CHAMBERY academy. He is since 2006 teacher at National Music School in VILLEURBANNE

He plays regularly in concert, as well as a Soloist as in Chamber Music, from JAPAN to the U.S.A., while passing by all the EUROPEAN countries, MEXICO, KOREA,... 

The list of his musical partners is more than impressive, among them: Claude BOLLING, Jean-Pierre RAMPAL, Simion STANCIU "SYRINX", Guy TOUVRON, his father Marc FRANCERIES, the bandonionists Albert HAMANN & Jérémy VANNEREAU, The GuitaristS José Maria GALLARDO DEL REY, Jérémy JOUVE, Gérard ABITON,Yves STORMS, the String Quartets DEBUSSY, SATIE...

His teaching experiment leads him to give Master Classes within guitar festivals, Universities and Music Schools, in France, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, USA, China, Colombia,Russia...

Now in his fifties, Eric FRANCERIES is established as a world-class guitarist, and very much acclaimed by the public and critics everywhere.
