Asian opera star to sing Turandot at the Ancient Theatre
Korean soprano Lilla Lee will sing Turandot at the Ancient Theatre together with tenor Kamen Chanev. Conductor: Nayden Todorov
Lilla Lee born in South Korea in 1977.
In 2003 she graduated from the Giuseppe Verdi’s Conservatory in Milan where she take two scholarship, having occasion to perform with Chorus of Teatro La Scala in Milan in a concert with the direction of M° Gelmetti, in the same year she attended the Formation and Improvers Course at the Vocal Academy of Arturo Toscanini in Parma. She had participated in two recital on baroque opera “Lo MatremonnioAnnascuso” of Leonardo Leo, directed by M° Agostini.
From 2004 studied intensively with the famous bass Bonaldo Giaiotti, changing the type of tonality from mezzo soprano to soprano.She had success singing “Misa Andina” of Alejandro Nunez Allauca at the Cathedral of Cordova (2001) and again at the Sant’Ignazio in Rome (2002), in the presence of the President of Peru’, where she performs as a solist with the artistic direction of Luis Alba and the direction of M° Mianiti.
