Opera Open 2024

OPERA OPEN 2024 at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv celebrates the 70th anniversary of Plovdiv Opera with a program featuring strong international content and genre diversity, a hallmark of the festival. The modern vision and high professional standards of the performances, with soloists, orchestra, choir, and ballet of Plovdiv Opera, combined with the unique features of the Ancient Theatre, continue to attract growing foreign audiences and contribute to the development of international opera tourism.

A major highlight of the OPERA OPEN 2024 program, which is sure to be one of the leading musical events in Bulgaria this year, will be the grand opening gala with the world-renowned opera diva Aida Garifullina.

The special edition of OPERA OPEN 2024 will feature two premiere productions with international artists: Carmen by Bizet and Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev.
