Nadine Sierra

Nadine Sierra is one of the brightest stars of today's opera world and a leading interpreter of the bel canto and lyric soprano repertoire. Celebrated for the beauty of her voice, exceptional vocal technique and compelling stage presence, she regularly appears at the world's most prestigious opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milan, the Paris National Opera, the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and San Francisco Opera.
Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Nadine Sierra, inspired by a recording of La Bohème, she began her musical education at the age of six. She graduated with highest honors from Mannes College of Music in New York and continued her studies at the Music Academy of the West under the guidance of the legendary mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne. At the age of fourteen, she joined Palm Beach Opera's Young Artist Program and made her operatic debut there two years later.
Her repertoire includes many of the most celebrated lyric soprano roles, among them Gilda (Rigoletto), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Violetta (La Traviata), Manon (Manon), Adina (L'elisir d'amore), Norina (Don Pasquale), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Nannetta (Falstaff), and Ilia (Idomeneo).
A recipient of the Richard Tucker Award (2017) and the Beverly Sills Artist Award (2018), Sierra has also won top prizes at the Neue Stimmen, Montserrat Caballé, Veronica Dunne, and George London competitions. Since 2017, she has been an exclusive artist with Deutsche Grammophon, where she has released the acclaimed albums There's a Place for Us and Made for Opera.
