Large-scale Peace Concert with over 450 children

For the fourth year in a row, the opening event of the OPERA OPEN festival will change the point of view of the spectators by placing them on the stage of the Ancient Theater, and the performers - in the audience sectors. On June 19, over 450 children from choirs from all over Bulgaria will perform white stone lines to send their message of peace and share their childhood dreams with some of the most famous Bulgarian songs such as "My Childhood"," Rainbow ", as well as songs by ABBA, John Lennon, Andrew Lloyd Webber and others. with the Plovdiv Opera Orchestra. The conductor of the concert is Slavil Dimitrov, chairman of the Bulgarian Choir Union.

Fifteen of the most famous and great choirs from all over the country gather and will sing together for the first time at the Ancient Theater, such as the Bodra Smyana Choir, the Bodra Pesen Choir, the Danube Waves Choir, and the Varna Boys and Youth Choir. Plovdiv Children's Philharmonic Choir, etc .. Plovdiv will be represented by the Children's Wrist Choir with conductor Yana Deliradeva, Plovdiv Boys' Choir Stefka Blagoeva with conductor Milka Toledova, Plovdiv Opera Academy Choir with conductor Yana Deliradeva and Art Voice Center with leader Rumi Ivanova.

The Tourism Council in Plovdiv in the person of Mr. Lyubozar Fratev, Dan Travel with manager Plamen Petrov, as well as hoteliers in the city provided assistance for the complex logistics of welcoming and accommodating the hundreds of young choristers in Plovdiv. The children from Uganda, who study Bulgarian songs and dances at the initiative of the Smile for Africa Foundation with founder Daniel Delibashev, will also join the concert with a special musical video greeting. For more than a month they have been rehearsing the song of Grafa, Lubo Kirov and Orlin Pavlov - "Together", which they will perform with all other participants in the concert.
The beginning of the "Children's Choir of Bulgaria: Concert for Peace" is at 9 pm at the Ancient Theater.

OPERA OPEN 2022 is entitled "The Different World" and is part of the program "Heritage II" of Plovdiv - European Capital of Culture 2019.
