Five-time Grammy winner DIANE REEVES at OPERA OPEN 2023

The jazz queen Dianne Reeves is a special guest at the anniversary tenth edition of the OPERA OPEN 2023 festival at the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv. She will perform a concert with a jazz quintet from the USA and the Plovdiv Opera Orchestra with conductor Konstantin Dobroikov on July 18 at 9 p.m.

Five-time Grammy winner Dianne Reeves is among the most famous jazz vocalists in the world. As a result of her breathtaking virtuosity, improvisational ability and unique jazz and R&B style, Reeves has received Grammys for Best Jazz Vocal Performance for three consecutive recordings.

The invitation from Opera Plovdiv to the legendary singer to participate in the Jazz Symphonies series is not accidental. Reeves has recorded with conductor Daniel Barenboim and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and was recently a soloist on a recording with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic. He has given concerts with a number of symphony orchestras in America, as well as many times with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.

The guest appearance of Diane Reeves takes place in partnership with Plovdiv Jazz Fest. In the form of Jazz Symphonies with the Orchestra of Opera Plovdiv, other names such as Liz Wright and Stacey Kent have been guests.
