Premiere of OPERA DIVA

"Opera Diva" is a performance in which opera and ballet soloists partner to present the fate of iconic opera heroines - Norma, Traviata, Madame Butterfly and Tosca, as a symbol of female devotion through the eyes of choreographer Mariana Kruncheva. The premiere on March 25 asks the question: Where does the Diva, placed on a pedestal, end and where does the woman begin - ordinary, unnoticed, but also a source of inspiration?
Through dance and the most beautiful music from opera masterpieces performed by Tanya Ivanova, Evgenia Ralcheva, Svetlana Ivanova, Vera Girginova, Viktor Krastanov and Georgi Sultanov with the Orchestra and Chorus of Opera Plovdiv, the dramaturgical essence of the librettos leading the heroines to death as salvation is traced . Ballet soloists Alexandra Savova, Apolline Lajoie, Federica Scolla, Fumi Penchev, Amedeo Giunta, Antonio Rosas, Alfred Yago, Dian Raichev, Artem Shoshin and Sam Darwell take part in the choreographic narrative. The conductor of the show with the most beautiful arias of the composers Bellini, Puccini and Verdi is Luciano Di Martino.
