State Opera - Plovdiv announces an audition for a full-time position for Viola (Tutti) orchestra players.
Requirements for applicants:
1.. Completed higher or secondary music education.
2. Experience and practice in ensemble music making.
The audition will take place on 22.04.2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chamber Hall, House of colture "Boris Hristov", Plovdiv.
Audition repertoire:
- Concert of choice 1 movement with cadenza or 2 and 3 movement by Karl Stamitz or F.A. Hoffmeister
- Solo piece of choice with accompaniment
Orchestral excerpts:
- Giuseppe Verdi – Don Carlos from number 9, and part of the finale
- Giuseppe Verdi – Aida from 3 act
- Giuseppe Verdi – Aida from 4 act
- Johannes Brahms – Symphony No. 4 in E minor
- Ludwig van Beethoven – Symphony No. 5 in C minor Op. 67, Andante con moto
Sheet music of orchestral excerpts will be provided upon request.
All works are performed with piano accompaniment.
