State Opera – Plovdiv is announcing an audition for a full-time orchestra position – Viola (Tutti).

Requirements:

1. Completed higher or secondary music education;
2. Experience in ensemble performance.

Audition details:

📍 Chamber Hall, Boris Hristov House of Culture, Plovdiv

Audition Repertoire:

1. Solo Program:

• One concerto of choice:
  • 1st movement with cadenza or
  • 2nd and 3rd movements from Stamitz or Hoffmeister
• One piece of choice with piano accompaniment

2. Orchestral Excerpts:

• Verdi – Don Carlo, from no. 9
• Verdi – Aida, Act III
• Verdi – Aida, Act IV
• Brahms – Symphony No. 4 in E minor
• Beethoven – Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67 (Andante con moto)

🔹 All pieces must be performed with piano accompaniment.
🔹 Orchestral excerpts will be provided upon request.
