State Opera Plovdiv is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller. This position offers the opportunity to work in a well-established cultural institution and to contribute to the financial governance of its activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary financial control for legality when undertaking financial commitments, in accordance with the Law on Financial Management and Control in the Public Sector, applicable legislation, and the institution’s internal regulations;

• Review contracts and financial documents for compliance with current legal and regulatory requirements;

• Monitor and track the institution’s expenditures;

• Prepare reports and written opinions related to financial control;

• Provide support during internal and external audits and inspections.

Requirements

• Higher or secondary education in accounting, finance, economics, or law;

• Minimum of three years’ professional experience in financial control, audit, accounting, or public finance;

• Knowledge of the Law on Financial Management and Control in the Public Sector, Accounting Act, VAT Act, Obligations and Contracts Act, Public Finance Act, and Public Procurement Act;

• Computer literacy;

• Strong analytical skills, independence, and high professional ethics.
