The ballet production "Anna Karenina" is inspired by the classic novel by Leo Tolstoy and portrays the tragic story of a woman torn between love and social constraints. The dramatic plot unfolds against the backdrop of some of Tchaikovsky's most beautiful compositions. Despite his acquaintance with Tolstoy, Tchaikovsky never created music based on his novels. The ballet's musical score features selections from Symphony No. 5 and No. 6, as well as the Violin Concerto.

Through Tchaikovsky's music, the world-renowned choreographer Leo Muich narrates the story using the expressive means of neoclassical ballet, characterized by purity and individuality in expression.
