Director Veselka Kuncheva brings the story of Jesus’s final days and his clash with Judas Iscariot to a dark, post-apocalyptic future, a world with blurred faith and eroded morals, where a disillusioned humanity once again searches for its Messiah. Known for her highly visual style, Kuncheva explores the eternal cycle of faith and denial. "What I see in this rock opera is not just intensely moving music; it holds a prophecy we, as contemporary artists, are obliged to reveal," she shares. Set designer Marieta Golomehova reinforces the director’s vision by creating an underground city-cemetery that embodies the “homelessness” of the modern world. She also crafts a unique crown—not from thorns, but from shards of glass.
