playful "Merlin girls" and sailors in white uniforms witness the romantic experiences of a beautiful and intelligent girl and a shy boy. Their "huge" problem is that they can’t admit their feelings for each other. They can’t say "I love you"!
The creative team has chosen to set the action in Bella, Italy, in the 1950s. Time seems to stand still until the tranquility is disrupted by a charlatan promoting a miraculous love elixir that promises to help, heal, and beautify.
He and his advertising girls from the era of Marilyn Monroe transform the town, the atmosphere, and even the people. The sleepy relationships are invaded by advertising, and everything begins to be sold—from elixirs and stockings to feelings.
"The language of love today is woven into advertising messages—delivered with a wink and a smile, yet empty of meaning and genuine emotion, merely selling templates. Communication is put to the test, especially in its most beautiful, tender, and intimate moments when we express our feelings. Today, we communicate through her, through advertising. And a 'miracle' happens—our problems disappear.
We no longer struggle with digestion, stains on clothes, pregnancy, or any issues, and somehow, we become Supermen, Supermoms, Super Beauties, and everything becomes super, super, super... But is it really so?" asks the director, Associate Professor Nina Naydenova.
